Roxanne with one of her Word Houses

Roxanne Lasky is an explorer of the ordinary, bringing her personal narrative to life with paint, metal, photographs, cloth, words and lots of found objects.

Her watercolor, oil paintings and stitched pieces have won awards, been featured in numerous publications and have travelled internationally for exhibition.

She holds a Master of Teaching in Art Education, having received the Manhattanville College Award of Excellence for her thesis project, Quilting: Model and Metaphor.

Her passion is teaching art methods to all learning levels with an emphasis on understanding one's process and developing creativity.

"As a teacher, I aspire to share new ways of seeing by making others aware of their inherent creativity and guiding them toward their individual creative voice."
