I am honored to offer the complete Five-Lesson Threads of Meaning Course in one package as a student-guided PDF with access to videos, Artist Forum and Private FB Group to share work and receive feedback from other participants.
While this course is geared for serious textile artists who wish to develop a unique voice in the medium, Mixed media artists can benefit from these lessons as well.
Students have access to a private Artist Forum on the website to share their work and build community with the other students. The Forum contains course archives and other beneficial support material.
This course is built on years of my personal creative art practice and work as an educator. I have a diverse background in painting watercolor, oil and pastel. I have studied with renowned teachers of my era and have a Masters Degree in Teaching Art. I continue to acquire new knowledge for personal enrichment and to extend to students.
Read some of my students' comments:
“Thank you so much for your generous offering of Threads of Meaning. I have enjoyed and benefitted from the course in so many ways. It introduced me to new ways of looking at and thinking about my work, and artists/writers/websites I hadn’t previously discovered. I still have work to complete, but my sketchbook and journal have become valued companions to my daily practice and I amcontinuing working in them. “ Tess D. (UK)
"Thanks, Roxanne Lasky, for making this available to everyone. I attended when you presented the workshop for the guild, and it has impacted my work ever since. Highly recommend! "

"I'm excited about revisiting Threads of Meaning, it was such a special journey for me at the time.
I'm also packing for a journey back home to visit family in Croatia (it's been long four years) and will be arriving there on 5th April, so there will be lots of exploring of different threads of meaning while I'm there." Jadranka B.
"This is a wonderful thing you have put together and so well thought out and full of inspiration and understanding of the challenges we creatives seem to continually face. In a world that is ultra-connected it gets harder and harder for one to feel like what they do is unique and your workshop helps to define just what it is that makes us absolutely unique in what we think and do."
